Transplant when cotyledons are fully expanded. Minimum night temperature 14–15°C, minimum day temperature 16–20°C. Gradually ventilate the nursery to ensure the plants do not become leggy and to harden them off before planting (e.g., at the end of outdoor growing). Plant hardening-off period: 20–30 days depending on the season and root ball size. Using seedlings results in earlier fruiting.
